Dinner with our neighbours.
Right here in Opasanica, our neighbours run a family restaurant by the river, where Sladja serves authentic Montenegrin food.
It is a lovely way to taste the region without going far: traditional home cooking from a local family, and a warm welcome. Guests rate it highly on Google Maps.

Ski by day, stove by night.
Kolašin ski resort is only a 45-minute drive away, which makes Poleska a very cosy basecamp for a skiing or snowboarding holiday.
If you visit in winter, especially in January and February, you are likely to find a beautiful, snowy winter wonderland. Despite the snow, the house and the roads remain accessible. Come home to the wood-burning stove that keeps the whole cabin warm.
Easier than it looks.
